Capital and Endowment Giving
In the fall of 2007, the Trustees of Thayer Academy announced the public phase of a new fundraising campaign called Building on the Mission. The goal of the campaign is to raise $30 million by June 2009 to fund a series of capital projects and make important additions to the Academy’s endowment.

Donor Recognition
All donors to the Building on the Mission campaign will be appropriately recognized for their generosity. The names of all donors who contribute $25,000 or more to the campaign will be inscribed on a plaque that will be prominently displayed in the lobby of the new Center for the Arts, while donors at higher levels have a number of unique opportunities to immortalize their family names in a number of ways.

Annual Giving

At the core of Thayer’s annual giving program is the annual fund. As the name implies, the annual fund supports the Academy’s annual operating budget, and provides funds for tuition assistance, faculty salaries, and the Academy’s strong academic, arts, and athletics programs.
General's Council

The General’s Council was established in 1997 to recognize donors who make total contributions of at least $1,500 during the Academy’s fundraising year. These donors are thanked by the Board of Trustees at the annual General’s Council Dinner, a very special evening that has been held at interesting on and off campus locations.
